Perimeter of Rectangle: 2W + 2L
One L is the river so we have 3 sides
420m/3 = 140m

Area of Rectangle is WL
140×140= 19,600 Sq meters

I'm assuming you may have another mathematical system the teacher wants you to use. Yet, I get Area is 19,600 Sq meters

The perimeter of rectangle is 48ft the length is 16 from. Whats is the area?
solniwko [45]

Answer:

128

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 2 lengths, 16 x 2 = 32. 48 - 32 = 16. 16 divded by 2 equals 8. 8 x 16 = 128.

Please show your work and explain it.
Maru [420]

Answer:

f(x)=\dfrac{x+2}{2(x-2)}

Step-by-step explanation:

Remember when you divide fractions, you need to get the reciprocal of the divisor and multiply. So your first simplification would be:

\dfrac{x^2+4x+4}{x^2-6x+8}\div\dfrac{6x+12}{3x-12}\\\\=\dfrac{x^2+4x+4}{x^2-6x+8}\times\dfrac{3x-12}{6x+12}\\\\=\dfrac{(x^2+4x+4)(3x-12)}{(x^2-6x+8)(6x+12)}

Next we factor what we can so we can further simplify the rest of the equation:

=\dfrac{(x^2+4x+4)(3x-12)}{(x^2-6x+8)(6x+12)}\\\\=\dfrac{(x+2)(x+2)(3x-12)}{(x^2-6x+8)(6(x+2))}\\\\

We can now cancel out (x+2)

=\dfrac{(x+2)(3x-12)}{(x^2-6x+8)(6)}

Next we factor out even more:

=\dfrac{(x+2)(3)(x-4)}{(x-2)(x-4)(6)}

We cancel out x-4 and reduce the 3 and 6 into simpler terms:

=\dfrac{(x+2)(1)}{(x-2)(2)}

And we can now simplify it to:

=\dfrac{x+2}{2(x-2)}

A yacht that travels 1.375 km in 165 minutes expressed in km/h
Tomtit [17]

The speed of a yacht traveling a distance of 1.357 km in 165 minutes is 0.5 km/h

<h3>What is Speed?</h3>

The speed of an object is the distance covered by the object in respect to time.

Mathematically:

\mathbf{Speed = \dfrac{distance}{time}}

\mathbf{Speed = \dfrac{1.375 \ km}{165 minutes }}

  • We know that 60 minutes = 1 hour
  • 165 minutes = 2.75 hours

\mathbf{Speed = \dfrac{1.375 \ km}{2.75 \ hours}}

Speed = 0.5 km/hour
