Jeff has two sticker-printing machines. Each machine can print 42 stickers per minute. On day 1, only the first machine was used

, and it printed 89 stickers. On the following day, the first machine printed for x minutes and the second machine printed for y minutes. Which expression shows the total number of stickers printed by both machines during these two days?

All you have to do is x times 42 plus y times 42 and then you have to add the first day on which is 89.This is how it should look (x*42)+(y*42)+89.

Consider a graph of the equation y = −3x + 4. What is the y-intercept?
Murrr4er [49]
Y = -3x + 4
In y = mx + b form, the y intercept will be in the b position.

y = mx + b
y = -3x + 4......so ur y intercept is 4.....or (0,4)

just so u know....in y = mx + b form, the slope will be in the m position....so ur slope would be -3

What is the measure of angle X?<br><br> Enter your answer in the box.<br><br> M
slava [35]

Answer:

x = 47

Step-by-step explanation:

Every triangle's interior angles add up to 180°.

Let's make an equation.

x + 102 + 31 = 180

x + 133         = 180

x                   = 47

Determine if the graph is symmetric about the x-axis, the y-axis, or the origin.<br> r = 9 sin 7θ
boyakko [2]

Answer:

The given function symmetric about the y-axis.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is

r=9\sin 7\theta                .... (1)

1. Symmetry about the x-axis: If the point (r, θ ) lies on the graph, then the point  (r,-θ ) or (-r, π - θ ) also lies on the graph.

2. Symmetry about the y-axis: If the point (r, θ ) lies on the graph, then the point (r,π - θ ) or (-r, -θ ) also lies on the graph.

3. Symmetry about the origin: If the point (r, θ ) lies on the graph, then the point (-r, θ ) or (r, π + θ ) also lies on the graph.

Put (r, -θ ) in the given function.

r=9\sin 7(-\theta)=-9\sin 7\theta=-r\neq r

Therefore it is not symmetric about x-axis.

Put (-r, -θ ) in the given function.

-r=9\sin 7(-\theta)=-9\sin 7\theta=-r

Therefore it is symmetric about y-axis.

Put (-r,θ ) in the given function.

-r=9\sin 7(\theta)=r\neq -r

Therefore it is not symmetric about the origin.
