B is correct. A tendon will join a muscle to a bone, and a ligament joins a bone to another bone. I think of it this way, partly influenced by my biology teacher:
- The achilles tendon, at the back of your foot, clearly joins foot to calf muscle
- The word ligament comes from 'deligare' in Latin, which roughly means to tie together. A ligament 'ties' two bones together
I hope this helps
Because the energy is going to decrease to also nothing and the animals at the top have to hunt more than those closer to the bottom of the food web
Meiosis produces cells (germ cells or gametes) with only half the DNA, or chromosomes, as normal cells (somatic cells). This is called haploid or referred to as "n" number of chromosomes. Normal body cells have doubke that, called "2n," or diploid. For humans our n = 23, so germ cells (haploid) have only 23 chromosomes, while somatic (normal body) cells have "2n" or 46 chromosomes. It is important to only carry half the number of chromosomes or DNA (n), because it is going to combine with another half (n) when sperm meets egg during fertilization. This n + n = 2n restores the diploid number of chromosomes (DNA) in a zygote, the first cell of a future embryo, fetus, and new human being.
The generalization that all organisms are composed of cells was established through multiple observations in various kinds of animals and plants. A controlled experiment of finding cells in all the kinds of living organisms is not possible or is infeasible as it will require prior knowledge of all the kinds of organisms inhabiting Earth and the effort to catch and bring them in the controlled environment of the lab for testing.
