Solve.<br><br> 4x + 4y = 20<br> 4x + y = -10
Amanda [17]
The way I'd do this is by elimination.  Multiply 4x+y=-10 by -14x+4y=20-4x-y=105y=30y=6
As for x multiply 4x+y=-10 by -4
4x+4y=20-16x-4y=4012x=60
x=5

Simplify the expression 10-4x(6+5-1) divided by 8+7
Eddi Din [679]
Simple,

writing out the problem...

\frac{10-4x(6+5-1)}{15}

Simplify it...

-4x(6+5-1)

-4x(11-1)

-4x(10)

-40x

Making it look like...

\frac{10-40x}{15}

Cancel out the common factors...

Thus making the answer:

- \frac{2(4x-1)}{3}.

Maslowich

Answer:

\boxed{2\cos^2\theta}

Step-by-step explanation:

\cot^2\theta \sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta

\dfrac{1}{\tan^2 \theta} \sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta

\dfrac{1}{\dfrac{\sin^2\theta}{\cos^2\theta} } \sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta

\dfrac{\cos^2\theta}{\sin^2\theta } \sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta

\cos^2\theta+\cos^2\theta

2\cos^2\theta
