Horizontal cross sections are the same shape: they are all squares if the pyramid is square or rectangles if the pyramid is a rectangle pyramid.
Vertical cross sections are different shape: At the pyramid top they are triangles, at other places they have four sides.

Horizontal cross sections are different size: the more we go to the top of the pyramind, the smaller they get.
Vertical cross sections are different size: the closer we get to the edges, the smaller they become.

Whats the answer? <br> and how did I get my answer?
Kamila [148]

Answer:

40°

Step-by-step explanation:

Angle 1 and Angle 2 are corresponding angles.

Corresponding angles are congruent, so 3x + 4 = 5x - 20

Solving 3x + 4 = 5x - 20

3x = 5x - 24

2x = 24

x = 12

Substitute angle 1

3x + 4 = 36 + 4 = 40

Y varies directly with x, and y = 5 when x = 4. What is the value of x when y = 8?
Tomtit [17]
As y varies directly with x, there is a proportionality constant. As x increases by that certain constant, y also increases. We equate:
y = kx
where k = proportionality constant.
Given the condition, y = 5 when x = 4, then we solve for k:
5 = k(4)
k = 5/4 or 1.25
When y = 8, then
8 = (5/4)(x)
x = 8/(5/4) = (8)(4/5) = 32/5 or 6.4 (ANSWER)

8-3(x - 5) + 2x + 3 how do I solve this
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

The answer is -x+26.

Step-by-step explanation:

First you distribute the -3 into the parthensis and you get -3x+15. You write the whole expression again plus the -3x+15 you got from the distributing part so 8-3x+15+2x+3. You combine the like terms so the x with the x and the numbers with the numbers. From there you get the answer of -x+26. I hope this helps you!
