So in this case first add all the cost togather, 3.50+2.25+9.95=$15.7
then move the decimal left two times to make the 5% into decimal number, which is .50
and multiply it by the total cost $15.7 which is 15.7*.50=7.85.
hope you like my answer and rate it. thank you :)

Answer:

Vicky will pay $16.485 altogether

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of strawberries =  $3.50

Cost of carrots = $2.25

Cost of a bouquet of flowers = $9.95

Total cost of all items = $3.50+$2.25+$9.95

                                    =$15.7

Sales tax% = 5%

Cost including sales tax = 15.7 + \frac{5}{100} \times 15.7

Cost including sales tax = 16.485

Hence Vicky will pay $16.485 altogether

Problem in image. Explain it too.
alexandr1967 [171]

\sqrt{40} = 6.32\\\\\\or\\5\sqrt{15} \\\\

this is because when 40 is broken down into two numbers (one divisible to get out of the square root, and one not) you get 25 + 15 under the square root. we know that the square root of 25 is 5, so we can put 5 outside the root and leave 15 inside.

-------------- try the next problem, and if you don't understand, please reply back.

answer is for a) 5\sqrt{15}

Help with Louis’s earns please
zhenek [66]

They give you the equation for Louis, and the table for Carl. Just find out Carl's equation by dividing the money earned by the time. 45 divided by 3 equals 15. Check it by the next time, 75 divided by 5 equals 15. So Carl's equation is y = 15x. 15x ( Carl's) greater than 12x ( Louis's).
