"4-H" is the name given to network in the U.S. composed of different youth organizations that aim at helping young people to explore their potential and develop themselves also, the network aim at developing the youth leadership and responsibility through experiential learning. This network of organizationS is called "4-H" because its original motto was composed of four words that began with H "Head, heart, hands and health". This network began in 1902 and aimed at connecting education to rural life, especially to agriculture by teaching youth people about agriculture practices they could do by themselves. However, by 1970, the goals of the network expanded to other fields and programs related to the development of youth but not exclusively to agriculture. Thus, the organization that was traditionally thought as a youth related to agriculture was the "4-H".
