Answer:

diffusion

Explanation:

Diffusion is the movement of particles from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration in response to a concentration gradient. A concentration gradient simply means a difference in concentration.

Diffusion occurs in solids, liquids and gases. Diffusion is fastest in gases and slowest in solids. Diffusion of solid particles may take very many years while diffusion of gases takes a few milliseconds depending on the mass of the gas.

In materials, atoms and molecules also move from one part of the material to another. This is also refereed to as diffusion.

Alcohol - C

Pail of Garbage - M

Ammonia - C

Salt - C

Energy - X

Gold - E

Wood - M

Bronze - M

Ink - M

Pizza - M

Dry Ice - C

Baking Soda - C

Explanation:

An element is the smallest part of a substance that is capable of independent existence. An element cannot be broken down into any other substance. Krypton, Bismuth etc are all elements.

A compound is a combination of two or more elements which are chemically combined together e.g NH3, CO2 etc.

A mixture is any combination of substances that are not chemically combined together. E.g Pizza, milk etc

How many moles of KNO3 are needed to make 600 ml of a 1.3M solution?
ludmilkaskok [199]
M = n / V

Where, M is molarity (M or mol/L), n is number of moles of the solute (mol) and V is volume of the solution (L).

Here the solute is KNO₃.
The given molarity is 1.3 M
This means 1L of solution has 1.3 moles of KNO₃.

Hence moles in 600 mL = 1.3 M x 0.6 L = 0.78 mol

Therefore to make 1.3 M KNO₃ solution, needed moles of KNO₃ is 0.78 mol
