South's defeat at the Battle of Gettysburg significantly affected the American civil war. It caused casualties of thousand of soldier's lives and damages of property. There was an only way to got rid of this to give up on north to be again normal for south.

The then president Lee wanted to invade in North Virginia but failed to do it. So, there was only one way to left to got rid of this mishap i.e. to give up the desire of invasion of north by the south.

management and their inability to carry out successful strikes for their
