1. - If you put your hand near a light bulb, you feel warm.

2.-Light is a wave. All waves carry energy, therefore light carries energy.

3.-The photo electric effect experiment shows that light (or any other kind of electromagnetic radiation) carries energy. How can you observe this? Well, if you shine a beam of light to a certain metal, light will interact with the electrons in the metal and as a result it will create a photo current. This electric current can be seen with an ammeter.

Two metal balls have charges of 7.1 × 10-6 coulombs and 6.9 × 10-6 coulombs. They are 5.7 × 10-1 meters apart. What is the force
Zinaida [17]
Hey there, Your answer wold be 1.36 newtons rounded to 1.4 newton. This is how!

force = k (q1 * q2) / r^2

= (9.0 × 10^9 Nm^2/C^2) [(7.1 × 10^-6 C) (6.9 × 10^-6 C)] / (5.7 × 10^-1 m)^2

= [ 9.0 × 7.1 × 6.9 / (5.7)^2 ] × 10^-1 N

= 13.6 × 10^-1 N

= 1.36 N

A 16.0 kg crate rests on a shelf 1.80 m above the floor in a warehouse. A forklift is used to raise the crate to a shelf 3.30 m
klio [65]

A 16.0 kg crate increases in height from 1.80 m to 3.30 m above the floor. The increase in potential energy is 240 J (a).

What is potential energy?

It is the energy due to the position.

A 16.0 kg (m) crate rests on a shelf 1.80 m (h₁) above the floor in a warehouse. The potential energy is:

U₁ = m × g × h₁ = 16.0 kg × (9.81 m/s²) × 1.80 m = 283 J

A forklift is used to raise the crate to a shelf 3.30 m (h₂) above the warehouse floor. The potential energy is:

U₂ = m × g × h₂ = 16.0 kg × (9.81 m/s²) × 3.30 m = 518 J

The increase in the potential energy is:

518 J - 283 J = 235 J ≈ 240 J

A 16.0 kg crate increases in height from 1.80 m to 3.30 m above the floor. The increase in potential energy is 240 J (a).
