What is the main idea of the sleepwalking scene in Act V of Macbeth

English
1 answer:
Rasek [7]2 years ago
6 0
It represents Lady Macbeth's malaise and guilt awakening and driving her to insanity. In this scene, she "sees" blood on her hands, a metaphor for her guilt, and it cannot be washed off- the sin cannot be undone. After this scene, Lady Macbeth's strength runs out and is overcome with guilt to the point that she commits suicide.

Can't somebody help me i don't understand what supposed to do?
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

I'm gussing there is reading material given to you that you are supposed to use to do this assignment.

They want you to highlight words or phrases that shape the tone of the paragraph, in other words: words or phrases that give the paragraph a certain mood. For example, the word "gloomy" can make the reader feel sad, which can contribute to a sad tone.

So for the second part, you can write about what words/phrases the author uses and how it affects the tone/mood of the story.

I don't know what you're reading, but this should help!

Before we jump into our analysis, let's take a minute to review that oft-quoted last line, which is delivered by the story's narrator, Nick Carraway. The last line of Gatsby reads: “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

Hope this helps!!

What modernist theme does the excerpt highlight?
oee [108]

The answer is D: The search for self.

Although this is not an exclusively literary modernist theme, it sure was one of the main themes that Virginia Woolf, one of the most notable modernist writers, developed. Throughout this novel, and specifically in the excerpt cited, Mrs. Dalloway, as well as many other female and male characters, continually expose their train of thoughts (“stream of consciousness” as it usually is called in literary studies) as the struggle to identify their personal subjectivity, showing a constant struggle and an intermittent quest for one´s own self.

What are at least 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses of a newspaper article?
Usimov [2.4K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

What are at least 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses of a newspaper article?

Strengths.

1.- It is informative.

2.- It includes data that support the news.

3.- It can include photographs and other opinion genres such as the interview.

Weaknesses.

1.- It is subjective.

2.- The author of the article can bias the core information.

3.- The author is referring to another journalist's news report, so it may not include diverse sources.

Let's have in mind that a good article should include an attractive headline, a solid first sentence, written in the third person and past tense, cite quotations, and end with a conclusion that sums up the article.
