Sedentary individuals are often lethargic and show early symptoms of obesity. Less exercise means a slower metabolism. A slower metabolism means that even if an individual is eating what they normally should, it will take them a longer time to burn off the calories they gain.

Sedentary person can colloquially be called slob or couch potato. This kind of person can be found both in the developing and developed countries. Sedentary activities include watching television, playing video games, reading, and computer use for much of the day with little or no physical activity. A sedentary style of life can cause obesity, anxiety, cardiovascular disease, colon cancer, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, spinal disc herniation, etc. A lack of physical activity is also one of the leading causes preventable death.

maw [93]

Answer: I got this same question and I was looking for the answers and could not found it but this I what I put. Food nutrition labeling by the FDA is important because it gives customers the ability to view the ingredients listed and find what they are looking for. For example women need more calcium to prevent brittleness in bones.
