Muscovite's tenacity is usually described as elastic. It means that it can bend (slightly) and go back to its original form. It can also be described as sectile as it can be cut by other sharp materials.
Tenacity is what describes how the mineral responds to external pressure.

How does the use of cell technology benefit public health
jekas [21]
The technology can help scientists study or look at cells, which in turn can let those scientists figure out if a cell is infected with a virus, or if it's a mutated cell that might cause a disease.

Jim is in a crowd of people at the mall looking for his girlfriend Tammy, who was supposed to meet him for dinner. Jim realizes
Vaselesa [24]
The answer would most likely be B, diffusion. Diffusion is the process of molecules going from an area of higher concentration of those particles (around Tammy) to an area of lower concentration (around Jim who is across the room), without the use of energy, as they are going with the concentration gradient (higher concentration to lower concentration). In this question, the molecules would be the molecules of Tammy's perfume. The area around her has a higher concentration of perfume particles, as she sprayed the perfume on herself. The area around Jim would be the area of lower concentration, as there are less molecules of perfume around him. Osmosis is the diffusion of water molecules from an area of higher water concentration to an area with a lower water concentration through a semi-permeable membrane. Active transport is the process of diffusion, however, it requires energy as the molecules go across their concentration gradient (from low concentration to high concentration). Facilitated diffusion is the process by which molecules go from a higher concentration to a lower concentration. However, the molecules go through a cell's membrane with the aid of proteins on the membrane. Therefore the answer would be diffusion.

A 5-month-old infant who has a 3-day history of cough and rhinorrhea has developed symptoms of respiratory distress with audible
iris [78.8K]

The infant should be given a trial of bronchodilators.

Explanation:

Bronchodilators are compounds that dilates the bronchioles and smoothens the flow of air through them.

The infant has gonorrhea and cough. This shows that he has excessive mucus secretion in his respiratory tract.

Wheezing and prolonged expiration shows that the infant is having breathing difficulty.

Wheezing usually occurs when there is a blockage in the bronchial passage.

Since immunizations are up to date, chances of probable infections are less.

In this case the physician should use a bronchodilator trial to check if the blockage in the bronchus is due to mucus.

Then any further examination should be followed.

Imagine you are studying a population of plants and you have determined that they are all genetic clones of one another. You are
maksim [4K]

Answer:

The frequency of the allele is high in the population

Explanation:

The selective pressure in this population is low light. Thus only plants with high tolerance for low light will be able to survive in this population. LLT gene plant has this trait.

Therefore the LLT gene plants will have higher rate of survival compare to other clones at very low light intensity .

The frequency of expression of these gene will be high due to high survival rates in the population.
