160x0.75(Or 75%)= 120.

160-120=40

So the percent would be 75% off.

I hope this helps! =)

Hello there!

\frac{40 - 160}{160} (100) \\ \\  \\ 40 - 160 =  -120 \\ \\ 160 = 160 \\ \\ \\  Problem:  \frac{-120}{160} (100)  \\ \\ \\  \frac{-120}{160} = -0.75 \\ \\ Problem: -0.75(100) = -75

Therefore, it decreased by 75%

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day

Using the PSN method:

P = -9
S = 8
So N = 9,-1

Using 9 and -1 in the original equation gives:

k^2+9k-k-9=0
\\k(k+9)-1(k+9)=0
\\(k-1)(k+9)

\\\\k=1,-9

15 31/40 to the nearest whole number
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

16

Step-by-step explanation:

Because the number is closer to 16, it can be rounded off to that. 15 31/40 is the same as 15.78. When the decimal is over .50 it is rounded up to the next whole number, but when it is under .50 it si rounded down to the nearest whole number. ex. since this one is over the .50, it's rounded up, but if it were 15.36 then it would be rounded down to 15. hope this helps :D

n his pocket, Hamid has $2.95 in dimes and quarters. If there are 16 coins in total, which system represents the number of dimes
N76 [4]
X=dimes    y=quarters

0.1x + 0.25y = 2.95
x+y = 16

from the second equation, x = 16 - y and thus 0.1 (16-y) +0.25y = 2.95 ==> y=9. Finally, x + 9 = 16 ==> x=7

7 dimes, 9 quarters
