Declaratory Act 1766: It was a tax that touched virtually every colonist. If you were married, bought land, sent mail, purchased goods, sold goods, wrote a will, etc.

Lewis Hine was an activist for the National Child Labor Committee. Mother Jones was a school teacher as well as a female activist. Even though she was most famous for being the founder of the Industrial Workers of the World, I think she would be united with Lewis Hine with ending child labor.
This is for the most part true, especially with regard to the Civil War (which was fought over the issue of slavery) and the Second World War (in which many African Americans fought and during which time many women participated heavily in the work force).
