Describe two examples that illustrate McLuhan's concept of a global village.

The United States and China are an example of a global village because of their economic ties. China produces goods for the United States and in return the United States gives a lot of money. Another instance that illustrates a global village is foreign exchange students. Students can fly from say the United States, and study for a year in another country such as China or the United Kingdom. The foreign exchange students spread their beliefs and customs, and learn the beliefs and customs of the area they are studying in.
