Integrated Concepts A basketball player jumps straight up for a ball. To do this, he lowers his body 0.300 m and then accelerate
____ [38]

Answer:

a) Velocity = 4.2m/s

b) Acceleration = 2.94m/s^2

c) Force exerted on the floor= 1401.4×10^3N

Explanation:

a) Velocity,V=sqrt(2×9.8×0.900)

V= 4.2m/s

b) Vf2= V^2+2ay2

a= 4.2^2 - 0/2×3

a= 17.64/6= 2.94m/s^2

c) Newton's 2nd law indicates:

Fnet= F - mg=ma

F= m(g+a)

F=110(9.8+2.94)

F=110×12.94

F= 1401.4N

Why will a delivery truck filled with birds sitting on its floor be heavier than a truck with the same birds flying around insid
34kurt

The reason why a delivery truck filled with birds sitting on the floor be heavier than a truck with the same birds flying around is because when the birds are sitting on the floor, they are adding their weight to the truck.

Meanwhile, if the birds are flying around they aren't resting on the truck or touching it, so therefore their weight wouldn't be added to the truck.

The mass of the truck will remain the same as you cannot change the mass but the weight will vary depending on the items and objects placed in it.

At which position is the LOWEST potential energy?
Ad libitum [116K]
The answer is position 3, because it is at its lowest point.

Potential Energy is “stored energy.” It is energy that is ready to be converted or released as another type of energy. We most often think of potential energy as gravitational potential energy. When objects are higher up, they are ready to fall back down. When you stretch an object and it has a tendency to return to its original shape, it is said to have elastic potential energy. Chemical potential energy is the stored energy in a substance’s chemical structure that can be released in a chemical reaction or as heat.

Leaving the distance between the 181 kg and the 712 kg masses fixed, at what distance from the 712 kg mass (other than infinitel
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

The force due to gravitation is equal to zero for each of the masses.

M1= 181kg

M2= 712kg

m = 72.6kg

The distance between M1 and M2 is said to be fixed , therefore no value should be given I.e it's a constant.

From the formula for gravitational force we have that

F = GMm/r^2

GmM1/(d-r)^2. = GmM2/r^2

where r is the distance between the 72.6 kg and 712kg

d is the distance between M1 and M2

Solving mathematically

r(√M1+√M2) = d√M2

r = d√M2/√M1 + √M2

d×26.68/ 13.45+26.68

d×26.68/40.13

r = 0.665d
