Hey there,

Your question states: Explain why it makes sense that the levels of estrogen and progesterone are low in the blood of a female during menstruation.I'm a guy, but I just happen know this information. The reason why the levels of estrogen and progesterone are low in the blood of a female during menstruation is to basically produce (FSH) or follicle stimulating hormone. We need to remember that menstruation is part of the menstrual cycle, which to would help a women/teen to handle/establish a well and healthy pregnancy, (if that makes sense). The average cycle would basically be i think about like 25-28 days. And one thing to remember is that when there is a ripening egg, this causes estrogen levels to rise. This would be the reason why its low.

Hope this helps

Answer:

Nonrenewable energy resources, like coal, nuclear, oil, and natural gas, are available in limited supplies. This is usually due to the long time it takes for them to be replenished. Renewable resources are replenished naturally and over relatively short periods of time.

Countercurrent multiplication involves A) ions leaving ascending limb to make water come out of the descending limb B) water lea
Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer:

The correct option is A

Countercurrent multiplication is the process whereby energy is used to generate an osmotic gradient in which water is reabsorbed from the tubular fluid to produced concentrated urine.

Explanation:

Countercurrent multiplication moves sodium chloride from tubular fluid into interstitial space deep within the kidneys. The concurrent multiplication process build up osmotic gradient interstitial fluid in a single effect. Here, sodium chloride is driven by active transport out of the tubular fluid in the thick ascending limb into the interstitial fluid, which becomes hyperosmotic. This result to water moving passively down its concentration gradient out of the tubular fluid in the descending limb into the interstitial space to a point where it attains a state of equilibrium.

Therefore, the correct option is A, where the ions leaves the ascending limb to make water comes out of descending limb.

Why are bacteria considered living, but not viruses? (Include at least 4 reasons)
Leno4ka [110]
Answer - Viruses are not made out of cells, they can't keep themselves in a stable state, they don't grow, and they can't make their own energy. Even though they definitely replicate and adapt to their environment, viruses are more like androids than real living organisms.

A student is investigating the affect of different salts on melting points. Four patches of ice of equal size are roped off and
Rasek [7]
The control variable in any experiment is designed in order to apply the same steps of the experiment but with no change happens in the observations.

In this experiment, the student tries to know the effect of solubility of different water-soluble salts (NaCl, CaCl2 and KCO3) on the melting point of the solution. All these salts dissolve in water and give some effect on the melting point except for the sand as the sand doesn't dissolve in water.
