If you are referring to concrete and abstract nouns, then "North America" would be considered a concrete noun, as one can physically touch the earth in Canada and say, "I am touching North America". If it were an abstract noun, such as fear, one would be unable to physically interact with it, as one cannot physically touch an emotion or idea.

Sara's paper airplane flew 8 1/2 yards. Jason's flew 8 2/3 yards. Michael's flew 8 1/4 yards and Denise's flew 8 1/6 yards. Whos
kirill115 [55]
The all flew 8 yards, so we can eliminate that for now.

1/2 - Sara - 6/12

2/3 - Jason - 8/12

1/4 - Michael - 3/12

1/6 - Denise - 2/12

Common denominator: 12

Jason's plane flew the farthest as his numerator is the largest (after we found a common denominator for all 4 fractions).
