Answer:

Based on this excerpt from Susan Glaspell's Trifles, the following can be concluded about Mr. Wright's character:

✔️Mr. Wright preferred to stay alone and isolated.

✔️Mr. Wright did not care about his wife's opinion.

✔️Mr. Wright did not like gossiping about other's lives.

Explanation:

From the excerpt, we discover that Mr. Wright wanted "peace and quiet" and he "talked himself". This means that he wanted to stay alone from talks and as a result, he talked only to himself.

Also, the excerpt reveals that what his wife wanted didn't make much difference to Wright. It then means that he didn't care about his wife's opinion.

Mr. Wright also reported that the folks talked too much and in talking too much, they should have gossiped and he didn't want to be part of that. So, he preferred staying alone and isolated.

What indicates that the author's purpose is to inform readers about travel south of Madagascar and Zanzibar?
g100num [7]

This question is missing the excerpt. I will not add it here because it is quite long, but the complete question can be easily found online. The excerpt belong to "The Travels of Marco Polo".

Answer:

The option that indicates that the author's purpose is to inform readers about travel south of Madagascar and Zanzibar is:

A. The author shares facts and specific details about the difficulty of sailing in the region.

Explanation:

Marco Polo was a Venetian adventurer who lived from 1254 to 1324. "The Travels of Marco Polo" is a book based on his trips and discoveries and written by Rusticiano de Pisa, who met Polo and had the chance to hear the adventurer himself tell the stories.

In the excerpt that can be found online, the author is informing readers about travel south of Madagascar and Zanzibar. The passage is written as it it were Polo himself describing the difficult travel conditions in the region. He provides readers with facts about the currents that prevent ships from going a certain direction. According to him, the currents are always southward. A ship may take 20 days to go a certain way, but three months to return precisely because of the currents.

Think deeply about the choice of point of view. How does using a first person narrator impact the poedm? It enhances the emotion
sveta [45]

The use of the first person in The raven enhances the emotion and suspense because the narrator explains his fears as he experiences terror.

Although it may seem unrelatable if read lightly, the pom talks about topics such as loneliness and lost, topics which we all can relate to in one way or another, just maybe not in this 19th century prose which we are not used to nowadays.

How do we know that telemachus is nervous about talking to nestor
Stells [14]
I would say that we know that Telemachus is nervous about talking to Nestor because he tells Athena, he follows Athena at a distance, and he repeats Athena's prayer - word for word.
