0.15 x 10^3 just means that you will move 3 decimal places to the right.

So we get 150

I can easily give you just the answer but that won't help you so I will give you the steps:
0.15x10 (to the 3rd power)
which means the little three next to the 10.
step 1: multiply 10x10x10
why three times? because of the little 3. the 10 symbolizes base and the little three symbolizes an exponent- to the 3rd power.
step2: the answer 10x10x10= 1000
so now, multiply it.
step 3: 0.15x1000=
150
Glad I could help!

Brett warmed up for his basketball game by running around the court 3 times . If the court is 84 feet by 50 feet, how many feet
lana [24]

Answer:

804 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Dimension of a basketball court is 84 feet by 50 feet.

Considering the shape of basketball court is in rectangle shape.

∴ Finding the perimeter of rectangle to know total number of feet in one round.

Perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+w)

where, l= length

           w= width

∴ Perimeter of rectangular court= 2(84\ feet + 50\ feet)

⇒ Perimeter of rectangular court= 2(134\ feet)

Opening parenthesis

⇒ Perimeter of rectangular court= 2\times 134\ feet= 268\ feet

Hence, Brett run 268 feet in one round of warm up.

As given, Brett ran around the court 3 times.

∴ Total number of feet= 268\ feet\times 3= 804\ feet

Hence, Brett jog for 804 feet.

En salón de clases hay 30 alumnos; el 40% son hombres y el 60% son mujeres ¿Cuántos hombres y mujeres hay en el salón de clases?
vodomira [7]

There are 30 students in the classroom; 40% are men and 60% are women. How many men and women are in the classroom?

40/100 = 2/5   60/100 = 3/5   30 ÷ 5 = 6   3 × 6 = 18 so 18 are women 2 × 6 = 12

so there are 12 men.
