Media often display a certain characteristic as a standard of beauty and discarded others for not conforming for their standards. They also did the same for Gender roles, which in the long run will affect how we as society perceive things in general.
Several example of this would be Only using certain body types to promote their advertising, Only use good looking actor/actress to in their film which make people subconsciously believe that they're a role model that must be followed regardless on how they achieve their good looks, etc.

Answer:

The media influences our view of beauty and gender roles by giving people images or targeted ads, that change how people think they should act. For beauty, there are photo shopped images of women, making them skinnier and changing them into unattainable versions of a woman, and making it seem as though that is the norm, and what every woman should look like. They also have ads of men, who are also photo shopped. They are shown as muscular and overly "manly" so men feel as though that is how they have to be.

While the media has changed our views on beauty and what is considered "good", it has also drastically affected gender roles. In the 1950's there were countless magazines on how to be the perfect wife. These magazines talked about how women should basically just kowtow to their husbands and never ask any questions if he is home late or anything. They were designed to make women feel less than, and showed them to never speak, and basically just be their husband's slave. They also showed men as being overly masculine, and taught them that they needed to work, or they would be worthless. They also taught men to treat women as lesser than.

Answer:

They have found that their slower rate of aging is due mostly to genetics.

Explanation:

Studies have already established the connections between ageing and genetics, since genetics help identify the underlying mechanisms that govern ageing. Genome studies have identified loci that influence age-related diseases, as well as other important human ageing traits, lifespan included. It is the hope of several in the scientific community that such discoveries will, in the future, allow for anti-ageing interventions.
