Matter is anything that occupies space and has mass. Thus, there are fundamentally three types of matter which is solid liquid and gas. But why do gases and liquids diffuse and not solids? It is because of the molecular structure of these components of matter. If we examine the molecular structure of gas the molecules are highly scattered and liquid has also almost the same structure as mediocrely scattered that these particles can easily slip through other substances unlike solid which is entirely intact.

densk [106]

Answer:

Minutes can provide us the continuous data as we can have the values between the two minutes, in fraction. So if we consider minutes there will be a complete continuous data for the analysis. However the number of cars, trucks, pedestrians, bicyclists, food trucks etc will be in integers as they can not be described in terms of fractions. So for continuous data option (E) is correct.

The number of minutes for a car to get from the intersection to the administration building.

Beats: A policeman in a stationary car measures the speed of approaching cars by means of an ultrasonic device that emits a soun
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

The frequency of the beats is 43.6408 kHz

Explanation:

Given:

f = frequency = 39.6 kHz

vc = speed of the car = 35 m/s

vs = speed of the sound = 343 m/s

Question: What is the frequency of the beats, f' = ?

As the car moves towards the source, the frequency of the beats

f'=f*(1+\frac{v_{c} }{v_{s} } )=39.6*(1+\frac{35}{343} )=43.6408kHz

ad-work [718]

Answer:

9.66 m/s 15° with +y

2.59 m/s 75° with +y

Explanation:

Momentum is conserved in the y direction.

mu₁ + mu₂ = mv₁ + mv₂

u₁ + u₂ = v₁ + v₂

10 m/s + 0 m/s = v₁ cos 15° + v₂ cos 75°

10 = v₁ cos 15° + v₂ cos 75°

Momentum is conserved in the x direction.

mu₁ + mu₂ = mv₁ + mv₂

u₁ + u₂ = v₁ + v₂

0 m/s + 0 m/s = v₁ sin 15° − v₂ sin 75°

0 = v₁ sin 15° − v₂ sin 75°

v₁ sin 15° = v₂ sin 75°

v₂ = v₁ sin 15° / sin 75°

Substitute.

10 = v₁ cos 15° + (v₁ sin 15° / sin 75°) cos 75°

10 = v₁ cos 15° + v₁ sin 15° / tan 75°

10 = v₁ (cos 15° + sin 15° / tan 75°)

v₁ ≈ 9.66 m/s

v₂ ≈ 2.59 m/s

neonofarm [45]

Answer:

the internal energy of the mixture at final state = 238kJ/kg

Explanation:

Given

V= 0.6m³

m=5kg

R=0.287kJ/kg.K

T=320 K

from ideal gas equation

PV = nRT

where P is pressure, V is volume, n is number of mole, R is ideal gas constant , T is the temperature.

Recall, mole = mass/molar mass

attached is calculation of the question.
