Phloem is a living vascular plant tissue that transports the resulting sugar from photosynthesis to parts of the plant where there is a lower partial concentration of glucose. When tapping the phloem of a maple tree, we get <span>maple syrup running from it, the sugary organic compound resultant from photosynthesis that's being transported through the plant.</span>
The heart is kind of like the "base" or "hub" for blood. The heart will send of blood and receive blood, and send it off again. It allows for blood to be bumped through the whole body.
