Humans can last weeks without food but only days without water. The human body is made up by 50 to 75 percent of water. Water forms the basis of blood, digestive juices, urine and perspiration and it is contained in lean muscle, fat and bones. As we know the body cant store water we need fresh supplies every day to make up losses from the lungs, skin, urine and feces. Water is one of the main reasons were are still alive.
