To find out if there is point where the graphs intersect simply plug in one equation for another,

y = 4x + 3
Y = -x^2 - 1.
4x + 3 = -x^2 - 1

Then solve

4x + 3 = -x^2 - 1
X^2 + 4x + 3 = -1
X^2 + 4x + 4 = 0.
(X+2)(x+2) = 0.

There is one solution X = -2. To solve for the y coordinate plug X = -2 to any of the above equations, easier for the first one.

Y = 4x + 3
Y = 4(-2) + 3
Y = -8 + 3
Y = -5.

Point - P(-2,-5). Plug these points in both original equations and if in each the left side is equal to the right, then that is the point of intersection. Basically the graph intersects once.

No chi-square The principal in Exercise 7 also
larisa [96]

The random sample of the students is an illustration of sampling

The chi-square test for goodness of fit is inappropriate because the variable under study is not categorical.

How to determine the reason chi square is not appropriate?

The dataset is given as:

Monday        34

Tuesday       29

Wednesday   32

Thursday        28

Friday             19

The variable of the above dataset is a not a categorical dataset.

One of the conditions of the chi-square test for goodness of fit test is that the variable under study must be categorical.

Hence, the chi-square test for goodness of fit is inappropriate because the variable under study is not categorical.

Whta is a linear regression equaton
fiasKO [112]
A linear regression equation is a line so it has a form of y = mx + b, which is an equation of a line. You will also see it as Y = a + bX. In the form of Y= a +bX the b is the slope.

There are different methods to fitting a line and the most common method is the method of least-squares.
