What advice about South Vietnam would you have given to President Johnson in 1963 when he took power? Why?
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

The advice to be given depends on which version of the war you could believe. Going with the views of General William Westmorland the American commander I would have advised President Johnson to continue with America's military commitment. With more than 33,000 American military personnel in Vietnam, the south was about to be defeated and Tet was mounted out of desperation. In other words, the US and her South Vietnamese allies were winning.

put it in your own words though

Triss [41]

Manifest Destiny, a phrase coined in 1845, is the idea that the United States is destined—by God, its advocates believed—to expand its dominion and spread democracy and capitalism across the entire North American continent.

Explanation:

There are three basic themes to manifest destiny: The special virtues of the American people and their institutions. The mission of the United States to redeem and remake the west in the image of the agrarian East. An irresistible destiny to accomplish this essential duty.
