The activity theory and the disengagement theory were the two major theories that outlined successful aging. Activity theory is advantageous as it makes the adult to remain active, satisfied and happy through social interactions. Why did the United States go to war with Spain in 1898? Who started
dlinn [17]

Explanation: The U.S. went to war with Spain for many reasons but mostly because of America's support of the ongoing struggle by Cubans and Filipinos against Spanish rule, and the mysterious explosion of the battleship U.S.S. Maine in Havana Harbor. They just decided they wanted to go to war so Theodore Roosevelt lead the U.S. and after almost 3 hard months the U.S. had won. Yellow journalism was a style of newspaper reporting that emphasized fabrication over facts. During the late 19th century it was one of many factors that helped push the United States and Spain into war in Cuba and the Philippines, leading to the addition of overseas territory by the United States. It is clear that the Spanish-American war was unnecessary because the United States had no reason to fight, the Spanish never exploded the USS Maine, and the United States wanted international power.
