If the entire class lasts 7/8 of an hour, then it lasts 52.5 minutes as:

60/8 * 7 = 52.5mins or 52min 30secs

a) Then warm up and cool down lasts 3/10 of the class so this is:

52.5/10 * 3 = 15.75mins or 15min 45secs

b) Instruction is 1/5 of the class so 4/5 is not spent on instruction so:

52.5 / 5 * 4 = 42mins

asambeis [7]
The answers are:
ƒ(x) = x - .15x
Sale = Original - .15(Original)
y = .85x

Let sale price be f(x) and x be the original price. Discount was 15% = 0.15
f(x) = x - 0.15x

If f(x) is sale and x is the original, then:
Sale = Original - .15(Original)

Let sale price be y and original price x:
y = x - 0.15x
y = 1 * x - 0.15 * x
y = (1 - 0.15) * x
y = 0.85x

DedPeter [7]
A ratio is not multiplication, so I'm just going to throw that out there first in case any other answers trip you up.

9:2 is the correct answer because there are 9 sandwiches for 2 people.

Two discs are randomly taken without replacement from a bag containing 3 red discs and 2 blue discs. What is the probability of
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

3/10

Step-by-step explanation:

There are totally 5 disks. On the first pick, there are 3 red discs. So

P(red disc on first pick ) = 3/5

Assuming that a red disc has been picked the first time, there will be 2 red discs and 2 blue discs so

(P red disc on second pick given red disc on first pick) = 2/4

P(red disc on both picks) = 3/5 x 2/4 = 3/10
