How is the genotype of the offspring different from that of the homozygous dominant parent?
tatuchka [14]

Since it's been crossed with a homozygous wrinkled green, the offspring has a genotype for heterozygous round and yellow. As round and yellow are dominant traits, they're expressed in the phenotype. But when self pollinated in the f2 generation, the recessive ones will show as well

Hope it helps :')

dem82 [27]

Answer: Systolic pressure.

Explanation:

Every time the heart beats, it pumps blood into the arteries, which are vessels through which blood circulates from your heart to your tissues with the oxygen and nutrients they need. Blood pressure is the force of the blood pushing against the walls of the arteries, and is highest when the heart beats, pumping blood, which is measured as systolic pressure (i.e., when the heart contracts). On the other hand, diastolic blood pressure refers to the pressure of blood in the artery when the heart relaxes between beats (i.e., when the heart relaxes). Since there are two types of pressures, blood pressure readings are given in two numbers, with the top number being the systolic pressure and the bottom number being the diastolic pressure.

For example, if the systolic pressure measured in a person is 125 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) and the diastolic pressure is 85 mm Hg, the blood pressure is recorded as 125/85.

So, <u>the systolic blood pressure is registered with the stethoscope when the cuff is deflated.</u> When two heartbeats are heard, the pressure gauge reading is recorded. <u>When the heartbeat ceases, the cuff pressure is released and the diastolic pressure is measured at this time.</u>

Which variable should be changed in an experiment to test the best conditions for bacteria to grow? the type of bacteria used th
Setler [38]

An experiment to test the best conditions for bacteria to grow is the material that the bacteria feed upon. <u>Option D.</u>

<u />

Antibacterial hand soap with different concentrations. Dependent variable bacterial growth as measured by the diameter of the zone of inhibition. Exposing Petri dishes to different temperatures can skew the level of bacterial growth they inhabit. Plant height is the dependent variable that responds to changes in the independent variable.

Sunlight is the controlling variable because each plant is exposed to the same amount of sunlight. It is the dependent variable because it measures the amount of plant growth. The dependent variable depends on the independent variable. How much plants grow depends on how much sun they receive. A continuous increase in temperature from a minimum value increases the rate of bacterial growth because the rate of metabolic reactions increases with increasing temperature.

The expression of a gene to form a polypeptide occurs in two major steps. What are these two steps in their correct chronologica
Katen [24]

two steps of expression of a gene in their correct chronological order are Transcription then translation.(option a)

The process by which information from a gene is used in the synthesis of a functional gene product that enables it to produce protein or non-coding RNA end products and ultimately affect a phenotype as the final effect is known as gene expression.

It comprises two significant stages: translation and transcription, Gene expression is made up of transcription and translation working together to form a polypeptide.

  • The production of RNA from DNA is known as transcription. The enzyme RNA polymerase acts as the catalytic agent.
  • The process by which a messenger RNA's genetic code is decoded to produce a particular polypeptide chain is known as translation. A particular amino acid is specified in each genetic code.
