anyanavicka [17]

Answer: The answer is C!!! :D maintaining homeostasis by regulating the body's temp!

Explanation:

Shivering as a natural, involuntary response to generate heat is an example of  maintaining homeostasis by regulating body temperature.

Homeostasis refers to the maintenance of a relatively constant body environment. The normal range of operation of the body system is known as the setpoint.

When the setpoint temperature for some animals is breached, a negative feedback mechanism is used to return it to the setpoint. Shivering to generate heat is a response to a cold environment when the body's temperature is about to drop below the setpoint.

The oppositeis sweating. Sweating causes cooling and comes in response to when the setpoint temperature is exceeded.

Hopes this helps happy early Christmas!!!! :D

Two males weigh 195 pounds and are 45 years old. one has a body fat percentage of 13% and the other's body fat percentage is 29%
Komok [63]
The burn of calories is connected to gender, mass and the age. These characteristics are the similar for both individuals, so you have to look for the outcome of the body fat percentage.

Muscles are an active tissue which suggests that at rest they burn calories in a bigger proportion than fat. So, the male with more muscles will likely burn more calories at rest.

The lower the fat percentage the higher the muscle percentage.

To conclude, that the male with 13% of body fat will burn more calories at rest than the male with 29% of body fat.

An ancient marble statue is moved from a rural location to a highly polluted city. Explain how the move might affect the statue
Kamila [148]
When sulfurous, sulfuric, and nitric acids in polluted air and rain react with the calcite in marble and limestone, the calcite dissolves. In exposed areas of statues, we see roughened surfaces, removal of material, and loss of carved details
