We are given that the insect can lift 1.182 x 10^3 times it's own weight. Say that w is weight, so the lift is:

lift = 1.182 x 10^3 * w

Assuming that your body weight is 60 kg, therefore you can lift:

lift = 1.182 x 10^3 * 60 kg = 70,920 kg

Answer:

A tropical species of mite named Archegozetes longisetosus can lift up to 1.182\times10^{3} times it's own weight.

A:

Let the weight of the insect be = x pounds

So, it can lift 1.182\times10^{3}\times x pounds

B:

Let us assume that you weigh 135 pounds.

So, the weight that you can lift is = 1.182\times10^{3}\times135 pounds.

That will be = 159.57\times10^{3} pounds

or  1.59\times10^{5} pounds
