Answer:

Option (1)

Explanation:

The atmosphere refers to the gaseous envelope of the earth. There are various layers that form the earth's atmosphere. They are arranged from the surface of the earth to outermost region in the following ways--

(1) Troposphere- It represents the lowermost layer of the atmosphere. It extends up to a height of about 10 km from the earth's surface. Here, the temperature decreases with the increasing altitude. The air molecules are tightly arranged near the ground surface and as height increases, they are randomly oriented.

(2) Stratosphere- This layer extends from the height of about 10 to 50 km above the ground surface. Here, the temperature increases with increasing elevation This increase in the temperature is because of the presence of the ozone layer that absorbs the incoming solar radiation from the sun.

(3) Mesosphere- This layer extends from the height of about 50 to 80 km above the earth's surface. Here, the temperature decrease with increasing height.

(4) Thermosphere- This layer extends vertically from about 80 to 500 km above the ground surface. Here, the temperature increases with an increase in altitude.

Thus, the correct answer is option (1).

Neurotransmitters can affect postsynaptic cells by I) initiating signal transduction pathways in the cells II) causing molecular
Yakvenalex [24]

Neurotransmitters can affect postsynaptic cells by causing molecular changes in the cells.

The term "chemical messengers of the body" is frequently used to describe neurotransmitters. The nervous system uses these molecules to send information between neurons or from neurons to muscles. A neurotransmitter influences a neuron in one of three ways: excitatory, inhibitory or modulatory.

When a stimulus is potent enough, the chemical messenger neurotransmitter is transferred into the nerve impulse. If it is powerful enough, it will reach the postsynaptic cell and affect the structure of the neuron. And when signal transduction happens, everything mentioned above is completed.
