Hi there! Not 100% percent sure if it's the same here, but it wasn't too long ago we learned about inverse relationships in Chemistry. The formula goes as follows:

x1y1 = x2y2

Now you just have to plug in the information.

4 x 14 = 10 x y2

What do you do now? You isolate the variable, y2. You do this by dividing y2 by the number it is multiplied.

Like this: \frac{y2}{10}

As we all know, what you do to one side you must do to the other. But before you do that, you need to multiply the 4 by the 14.

4 x 14 = 56

Now you can divide by 10.

\frac{56}{10}

The answer should be 5.6. Hopefully this helped!

A cup contains 3 blue paper clips,2 red paper clips,and 5 silver paper clips.what is the probability of not drawing a red paper
Elis [28]
Short Answer 0.8

Remark
The total number of possible draws is
3 Blue + 2 Red + 5 silver = 10
There are two ways of solving this, both of which will be used later on.

Method 1
If you don't draw a read paper clip, that means you will draw a silver or blue paper clip.
\frac{Silver + blue}{10} =  \frac{3 + 5}{10} =  \frac{8}{10} = \text{0.8}

Method Two
The other way is to draw a red one and take that probability away from 1.
P(red) = \frac{2}{10} = \text{0.2}
1 - 0.2 = 0.8 Same answer.

maxonik [38]

ok, so x is a number ranging from 40-90 which is 50 meaning that x has 50 different possibilities. But what are the chances that x is 75? well the chances of x being 75 is 1 out of 50.

so that means there is a 2% chance of x being 75

In the rectangle below AC has a length of 28. What is the length of ED? If necessary, round your answer to two decimals places.
expeople1 [14]
<span>The diagonals of a rectangle have equal lengths. Since AC has a length of 28, and AC is a diagonal, the other diagonal BD also has a length of 28. The diagonals of a rectangle also bisect each other. So diagonal BD is bisected by the other diagonal AC at point E. And since diagonal BD has a length of 28 then BE and ED both have a length which is of 28, or 14 each.

Answer: ED has a length of 14.</span>
