To multiply by powers of 10, just add the zeros to the number you're multiplying it by. As a simpler example, 5 x 10 is 50; just add a zero to 5.  20 x 100 is <u>2,000</u> because you add the 2 zeros of 100 to the 20. I hope this helps!

A club collected $3,472 to buy computers. If each computer cost $680, estimate the number of computers that the club can buy.exp
almond37 [142]

The club can buy 5 computers with $3472

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of computers which can be bought from the given amount will be calculated by dividing the amount by price of one computer.

Given

Total amount = $3472

Price of one computer =$680

The number of computers will be:

=\frac{Total\ amount}{Price\ per\ computer}\\=\frac{3472}{680}\\=5.1\\

As the number of an item cannot be in decimal it will be rounded off to 5.

The club can buy 5 computers with $3472

iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

\huge \purple { \boxed{ C = \frac{5}{9} ( F  - 32)}}

Step-by-step explanation:

I the given problem, there should be 32 in place of 35.

F =  \frac{9}{5}  C + 32 \\ F  - 32=  \frac{9}{5}  C \\ 5( F  - 32)=  9  C \\  \frac{5}{9} ( F  - 32)=C \\  \\ \huge \red{ \boxed{ C = \frac{5}{9} ( F  - 32)}}
