27 = 22 - 2(3 - 1w)....first, we distribute thru the parenthesis
27 = 22 - 6 + 2w...simplify
27 = 16 + 2w...now we subtract 16 from both sides
27 - 16 = 2w
11 = 2w...now we divide both sides by 2
11/2 (or 5 1/2) = w

A pool charges $4 each visit or you can buy a membership. Right and solve an inequality to find how many times a person should u
svet-max [94.6K]

The inequality is:

n > \frac{m}{4}

Membership of the pool will be less expensive until number of visits to the pool is one fourth of the membership amount

Solution:

Given that,

A pool charges $4 each visit or you can buy a membership

Let "n" be the number of times you visit the pool

Let the membership amount of the pool be "m"

A pool charges $4 each visit

Therefore, cost for "n" visit is: $ 4n

The inequality showing that a membership is less expensive than paying each visit to the pool is:

4n > m

Divide both sides by "4"

n > \frac{m}{4}

Therefore, membership of the pool will be less expensive until number of visits to the pool is one fourth of the membership amount

A recipe calls for got to go to 32 fluid ounces of heavy cream how many 1 pint containers of heavy cream are needed to make the
Ne4ueva [31]

There are 8 fluid ounces in a cup. There are 2 cups in every pint. So every pint container can hold 16 fluid ounces of heavy cream.

If you take the total of 32 and divide it by 16 (the number of ounces a pint container can hold), you get 2 which is the number of pint containers you need to get 32 fluid ounces

A hairdresser is deciding where to open her own studio. If the hairdresser chooses Location A, she will pay $1200 per month in r
Ymorist [56]
She will need to cut 26.6 haircuts a month a location A to break even (1200/45 = 26.6) so roughly 27 haircuts to make a profit

She will need to cut 30 haircuts at location B to break even (1800/60 = 30) and 31 hair cuts to see a profit.

She will need to cut 30.67 haircuts at location A and 33 haircuts at location B to make the same profit at either location (Roughly $180).

30.67 x 45 = 1380.15 - 1200 = 180

33 x 60 = 1980 - 1800 = 180
