So 2.5 os to 50, aka 2.5:50
divide each side by 2.5 to get the answer.
if you dont have a calculator, divide each side by 5 to get .5:10, multiply by 2 to get 1:20

To solve this problem simply set up a fraction of a ratio with the 2 numbers.

Then make a new fraction and place the unknown as the variable, here it is x minutes

2.5 miles/50 minutes = 1 mile/ x minutes

X minutes = 50 / 2.5 = 20 minutes.

B is the correct solution.

Triangle XYZ is translated 4 units up and 3 units left to yield ΔXYZ. What is the distance between any two corresponding points
Mashcka [7]
<h3>Answer:</h3>

5 units

<h3>Step-by-step explanation:</h3>

A point 4 up and 3 over from its original location has moved a distance that can be found using the Pythagorean theorem.

... d² = 4² +3² = 16 +9 = 25

... d = √25 = 5 . . . . units

Solve using algebraic equation: <br> 5sin2x=3cosx<br><br> (No exponents)
DaniilM [7]
5\sin2x=3\cos x\iff10\sin x\cos x=3\cos x

by the double angle identity for sine. Move everything to one side and factor out the cosine term.

10\sin x\cos x=3\cos x\iff10\sin x\cos x-3\cos x=\cos x(10\sin x-3)=0

Now the zero product property tells us that there are two cases where this is true,

\begin{cases}\cos x=0\\10\sin x-3=0\end{cases}

In the first equation, cosine becomes zero whenever its argument is an odd integer multiple of \dfrac\pi2, so x=\dfrac{(2n+1)\pi}2 where n[/tex ]is any integer.\\Meanwhile,\\[tex]10\sin x-3=0\implies\sin x=\dfrac3{10}

which occurs twice in the interval [0,2\pi) for x=\arcsin\dfrac3{10} and x=\pi-\arcsin\dfrac3{10}. More generally, if you think of x as a point on the unit circle, this occurs whenever x also completes a full revolution about the origin. This means for any integer n, the general solution in this case would be x=\arcsin\dfrac3{10}+2n\pi and x=\pi-\arcsin\dfrac3{10}+2n\pi.

5.2x+8+2.1x-3 which is an equivalent expression by combining like terms A. 5.2x+8+2.1x-3 B. 5.2x+5+2.1x C 13.2x-0.9x D 7.3x+5
satela [25.4K]

Answer: 7.3x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

For us to solve the question, we have to solve 5.2x+8+2.1x-3 and the answer gotten will allow us know the equivalent expression.

= 5.2x+8+2.1x-3

= 5.2x + 2.1x + 8 - 3

= 7.3x + 5

Therefore, the correct answer is 7.3x + 5
