On the TV show, The Biggest Loser, the winner is the person who lost the largest percentage of his/her weight. Three contestants

, Courtney, Patrick, and Antone have all lost weight on the show. At the start of the season Courtney weighed 270 pounds, Patrick weighed 387 pounds, and Antone weighed 447 pounds. If, at the end of the season, Courtney weighed 176 pounds, Patrick weighed 296, and Antone weighed 298 pounds, which one of them would win the “Biggest Loser” contest?

the weight lost by each individual would be = ( initial weight of the individual)-(final weight of the individual)

therefore weight lost by Courtney will be 270-176=94.

weight lost by Patrick will be 387-296= 91.
