How to solve systems of equations by graphing

Mathematics

In order to solve system by graphing, you first need to write each equation in slope-intercept form or y = mx + b form.

In this form, y is isolated on the left side of the equation.

In some problems, this will already be done for you.

After that, graph both lines on a coordinate system.

What you are looking for is the point where the lines intersect.

That point will represent the x and y that is the solution.

Feel free to plot many points along the line.

20% of 124.95 is close to $125 so that is equal of 12.50 of 10% so multiply by 2 which is $25.00 so the estimate discount of the jacket will be $25.00

On a fraction line 6 friends want to equally share 3 yards of yarn how much yarn does each friend get
densk [106]
0.5 because if you divide 3 and 6 yards it’s equal to 0.5yards. You divide the yard and the friends because they are sharing three yards. So, each friend gets 0.5 yard each.
