For 222+203 it is best to start with 2+3=5
then 20+00=20
then add the two totals together 20+5=25
next 200+200=400
and last 400+25=425

What is 2xy-3yz+5+2yz-xy
melomori [17]

To simplify this expression, we are going to combine like terms.

First, we can see that we have two terms with the variables xy being multiplied together, 2xy and -xy. Together, these add to xy, so our expression is now:

xy - 3yz + 5 + 2yz

We also have two terms with yz, -3yz and 2yz. Together, these add to -yz, so our expression is now:

xy - yz + 5

Our final expression is xy - yz + 5.

A bicycle store costs $3300 per month to operate. The store pays an average of $75 per bike. The average selling price of each
Klio2033 [76]
S=Selling price 135
V=Variable cost 75
F=Fixed cost 3300
Let quantity be Q
The formula to break even is
135Q-75Q-3300=0
Solve for Q
60Q-3300=0
60Q=3300
Q=3300/60
Q=50
So the store must sell 50 bicycles to break even

Hope it helps!

Hey there!!

Fill in the blanks :-

⇒ First graph the line. Locate the <u>value of x </u>on the x-axis. Draw a vertical line from <u>point plotted on the x-axis </u>to the graph of the function and a horizontal line segment from the graph of the function to the y-axis.

<em>Find the value of f(x) when x is -2. </em>

f(x) = \frac{3}{2}x-4

Remember :- <u><em>f(x) is basically the y-value. It is just denoted as _f(x), it stands for function of x. Which means, the value of y, depends upon the value of x or the function of x. </em></u>

Given : x = - 2

Plugging in the values :

... f(-2) = \frac{3*(-2)}{2}-4

... f(-2) = \frac{-3}{1} - 4

... f(-2) = -7

The last fill in the blank :

The value of y on the y-axis is the value of the function. Therefore, the value of f(x) is <u>-7 </u>when x is -2.

Hope it helps!!

Answer:

<h2>x = 2, y = 6 → (2, 6)</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

\bold{ELIMINATION\ METHOD}\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}y=-x+8\\y=x+4&\TEXT{change the signs}\end{array}\right\\\underline{+\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}y=-x+8\\-y=-x-4\end{array}\right}\qquad\text{add both sides of the equations}\\.\qquad0=-2x+4\qquad\text{add}\ 2x\ \text{to both sides}\\.\qquad2x=4\qquad\text{divide both sides by 2}\\.\qquad\boxed{x=2}\\\\\text{Put it to the second equation}\\y=2+4\\\boxed{y=6}

\bold{SUBSTITUTION\ METHOD}\\\\\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}y=-x+8&(1)\\y=x+4&(2)\end{array}\right\\\\\text{Substitute (1) to (2)}\\\\-x+8=x+4\qquad\text{subtract 8 from both sides}\\-x=x-4\qquad\text{subtract}\ x\ \text{from both sides}\\-x-x=-4\\-2x=-4\qquad\text{divide both sides by (-2)}\\\boxed{x=2}\\\\\text{Put it to the second equation}\\y=2+4\\\boxed{y=6}
