There were 12 players on a new softball team.Before the team starts playing games the team must also pay a total regristration f

ee of $572. Along with the registration fee,the team must also need to spenda total of $1240 on equipment. To pay for the cost of the registration fee and the equipment the players held a car wash and raised $786. Then they decided to sell candles for $9.50 per candle to cover the remaining costs. To start you find the total amount of money they need by adding the registration fee and the equipment.
572 + 1240 = 1812
Then you find out how much they still need after the car wash.
1812 - 786 = 1026
Now you set up what you have in an equation. You know that 9.50 per candle equals out to be a total of $1026.
9.50x = 1026
9.50x/9.50 = 1026/9.50
x = 108
So you now know that they need to sell 108 candles to get the remaining money. So now you must figure out how many candles each player needs to sell.
108/12 = 9
Each player needs to sell 9 candles.

2^4n × 2^ 2n = 512<br> What is the value of n.
Marina86 [1]

Step-by-step explanation:

{2}^{4n}  \times  {2}^{2n}  = 512

{2}^{4n}  \times  {2}^{2n}  =  {2}^{9}

{2}^{4n + 2n}  =  {2}^{9}

6n = 9

n  = \frac{3}{2}

I think I need to find x
ozzi

Answer:

-6

Step-by-step explanation:

the x value is just plugging that number in for x so

-3x-8=10 (add 8 to both sides) so

-3x=18 (divide by -3 on both sides) so

x=-6

hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

3(4a−5b+2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer should have originally been 3(4a-5b+2)

3(4a+5b+3)= 12a+15b+9 which is incorrect.

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Plug in and see.

Check A: Lets plug in (0,3) into y<2/3 x+2.

3<2/3 (0)+2

3<2 is not true so not A

Check C: Lets plug in (3,5) into y<2/3 x+2.

5<2/3 (3)+2

5<2+2

5<4 is not true so not C

Check B: Lets plug in (-3,1) into y<2/3 x+2.

1<2/3 (-3)+2

1<0 is not true so not B

Check D: Lets plug in (1,2) into y<2/3 x+2.

2<2/3 (1)+2

2<2/3+2 is true so D

A plane is descending into the airport. After 5 minutes it is at a height of 6500 feet. After 7 minutes it is at a height of 590
Jet001 [13]

Let's assume

height of plane  in feet =h

time in minutes =t

we are given

A plane is descending into the airport. After 5 minutes it is at a height of 6500 feet

so, we get one point as (5,6500)

After 7 minutes it is at a height of 5900 feet

so, we get another point as (7,5900)

we can use point slope form of line

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

points as

(5,6500)

x1=5, y1=6500

(7,5900)

x2=7 , y2=5900

Calculation of slope(m):

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

now, we can plug values

m=\frac{5900-6500}{7-5}

m=-300

Equation of line:

we can use formula

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

we can plug values

h-6500=-300(t-5)

h=-300t+8000

Time of landing:

we can set h=0

and then we can solve for t

h=-300t+8000=0

t=\frac{80}{3}min..............Answer
