Well this is a bit of a tall order :) but here we go:

A. See the attached frequency tables, done vertically and horizontally.

B. We can see from the horizontal freq table that .6 = 60% of all the pine trees died.

C. The probability that a tree survived given it was a pine is .6 = 60%. The probability that a tree survived given it was an oak is .75 = 75%. According to this sample, the oaks were more likely survive than the pines.
