Most schools agree on the basic elements for pre-medical education. Minimum course requirements include one year each of biology, general (inorganic) chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and related lab work for each. In addition, about two-thirds require English and about one quarter require calculus.

For a 2,000-calorie diet, how many cups of milk or the equivalent per day does myplate recommend?
sergij07 [2.7K]

3 cups of milk, or the equivalent, per day are advised for only a 2,000 caloric diet, according to My-Plate.

My-Plate recommendation:

  • According to My-Plate recommendation, the dairy category covers dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheese, lactose-free milk, fortified soy milk, and yogurt. It excludes dairy products with high fat and low calcium content including cream cheese, sour cream, cream, and butter.
  • Human age, height, weight, degree of physical activity, and the quantity of dairy required will all affect how much you need. The quantity for women may also change depending on whether they are nursing or pregnant. My-Plate study shows that about 90% of Americans do not consume enough dairy, thus most people would benefit from increasing their diet of fat-free or low-fat dairy products, whether they come from milk (including lactose-free milk), yogurt, or cheese.

boyakko [2]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The UB-04 stands for the uniform billing form.  It is the standard claim form, printed with red ink on white standard paper, used by institutional providers for the billing of medical and mental health claims. The form can accommodate about twelve diagnosis codes, with four codes mapping to a specific CPT code.  The CPT code describes the treatment and diagnostic services that the healthcare institution has provided for a particular diagnosis, ICD-9.

A client in the acute setting has difficult vascular access. The provider has placed a Groshong central venous catheter in place
Paladinen [302]

Answer:

Central venous lines are vascular access lines that are only used when a patient will receive treatment that requires a main vein, not accessible through normal venous punction, or, when the treatment will extend for a long period of time. One such central lines is the Groshong central venous catheter, that it very comfortable due to its functionality, decreased risks for complications, and its easy maintenance. However, as it is still a line that goes from the outside directly into the major blood vessels, and near the heart, it is still something that needs extreme care on the part of healthcare professionals.

1. The site of insertion of this type of central line is on the chest, near the clavicles, seeking the subclavian vein, to lead all the way to the superior vena cava, and close to the juncture between this vein and the atria of the heart.

2. The indications for the use of this line are: long exposure to treatment with difficulty of access to less central vessels, when the medication, fluids, or nutrition that will be given can damage periferal veins, or their volume is superior to what periferal veins can contain, and finally, when there will be a prolonged exposure to treatment, like in the case of chemotherapy.

3. The catheter is highly favored in hospital settings due to its easy maintenance and also due to its durability. Unless something goes wrong, or the catheter is damaged, or exposed in some way, its duration can go to three weeks, when tissue  begins to form around the catheter´s insertion site. It must be removed immediately if any signs of leaking, inflammation, or infection, appear around, or if there are signs of closure on one of the lines inside the catheter.
