Assuming you want us to simplify

remember
negative times negative=positive
and
remember the distributive proeprty
a(b+c)=ab+ac
and
-a(b+c)=-ab-ac
oh, and order of operations

so

-4(4/3v-4)-3(1/2v-4)
distribute
-4(-4/3v-4)=-4(-4/3v)-4(-4)=16/3v+16
-3(1/2v-4)=-3(1/2v)-3(-4)=-3/2v+12

so we now gots
16/3v+16-3/2v+12
group like terms
16/3v-3/2v+16+12
combine like terms
first the v terms
16/3v-3/2v=32/6v-9/6v=23/6v

then the constants
16+12=28

so we gets
23/6v+28 is the simlified form

\frac{1}{2} = 0.5 \\  \frac{4(2)}{2}  =  \frac{8}{2}  = 4 \\  \frac{v - 8}{2} \\  \frac{3(v - 8)}{2}  \\  \frac{4}{3}  = 1.3 \\  \frac{4(3)}{3} =  \frac{12}{3}  = 4 \\  \frac{-4(v) - 12}{3}  \\ Answer:  \frac{23v + 168}{6}

Please help!! Write in simplest radical form: √7/8 Show how you figured it out
12345 [234]

Given expression: \sqrt{\frac{7}{8}}.

\mathrm{Apply\:radical\:rule\:}\sqrt[n]{\frac{a}{b}}=\frac{\sqrt[n]{a}}{\sqrt[n]{b}}

=\frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{8}}

\sqrt{8}=\sqrt{2^2\cdot \:2}=2\sqrt{2}

\frac{\sqrt{7}}{\sqrt{8}} =\frac{\sqrt{7}}{2\sqrt{2}}

\mathrm{Rationalize\:}\frac{\sqrt{7}}{2\sqrt{2}}

\mathrm{Multiply\:by\:the\:conjugate}\:\frac{\sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}}

=\frac{\sqrt{7}\sqrt{2}}{2\sqrt{2}\sqrt{2}}

=\frac{\sqrt{14}}{4}

=\frac{\sqrt{14}}{4}.
