For the first one the nth term is 9n - 8 so the 10th term is 9x10 - 8 = 90-8 = 82

For the second one the nth term is ⅓n + ⅓ so the 11th term is ⅓x11 +⅓ = 3.9999 = 4

Given that R=9x+8y find x when y=8 and R=4
Ilya [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

R = 9x + 8y

4 = 9x + 8*8

4 = 9x + 64

Subtract 64 from both sides

4 - 64 = 9x + 64 - 64

-60 = 9x

Divide both sides by 9

-60/9 = 9x/9

-20/3 = x

x = -6 2/3

Suppose A and B represent two different school populations where A > B and A and B must be greater than 0. Which of the follo
Ulleksa [173]
We can reject the last one: subtracting a non-zero value will result in a smaller value.

So now we have:

<span>2(A + B)
(A + B)2
A2 + B2

If all of them are mulptiplications, then they are all equivalent!

I mean by this, if what you meant is this:

</span>
<span>2*(A + B)
(A + B)*2
A*2 + B*2

If there is no sign, then the multiplication sign is implicit,

and all of these expressions say exactly the same: two of A and two of B.

During a sale at a bookstore, a customer buys one book at full price. The customer is given a 25 percent discount on a second bo
RoseWind [281]
Amount paid for the first book is $17.

Amount paid for the second book is 0.75 x 8 = $6

Total amount paid = $17 + $6 = $23

Total full cost of the two books = $17 + $8 = $25

Amount of discount = $25 - $23 = $2

% reduction = \frac{2}{25} \times100\%=8\%

Therefore, the <span>percent of the total cost of the two books reduced during the sale</span> is 8%
