In the formation of igneous rocks, these molten rocks must be cooled to form igneous rocks. Igneous rocks are formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava. So rocks are pushed into the earth then they are melted. Once melted they come out of the earth through volcanoes and the lava then colds itself to form igneous rocks.
