The result of Plessy v. Ferguson ruling was that it took decades for segregation to be declared illegal and unconstitutional.

Further Explanation:

Plessy V. Ferguson was known as a landmark decision by the Supreme Court of the United States in the year 1896 which as this decision upheld the legality of racial segregation and this was done under the measure of separate but equal. This issue rose when Homer Plessy, who was a native African American was denied sitting in a car which was for blacks. Supreme Court didn't approve of the arguments that were made by Plessy that his rights which were provided to him under constitution were violated and Court further stated that a law which is implied merely a legal distinction that was going on between Blacks and Whites cannot be termed as unconstitutional. This verdict by the Supreme Court approved the doctrine of 'Separate but Equal" as a constitutional justification in relation to segregation.

Various public interstate railroads were segregated as the verdict by Supreme Court sanctioned Buses, hotels as well as schools. The separate facilities that were provided to the African-American community were not as required standards and were consistently inferior as compared to people who belonged to the White Community. This was viewed as a contradiction to the vague declaration which stated ‘Separate but Equal' institutions.

what was one of the weaknesses of the Sherman Antitrust act that made the law difficult to argue in court?
satela [25.4K]
One of the weaknesses of the Sherman antitrust act that made the law difficult to argue in court was that it provided very few specifics on who could charged for initiation and participating in trusts--making it hard to gather "hard" evidence.

Hope that helps:))
