What is the relationship between glucose and glycogen

Glucose is usually referring to one molecule that is gained directly from carbohydrates. These glucose molecules are broken down to usable energy called ATP.

Glycogen is stored in Liver and is complex carbohydrate used by a animals. These are like super large molecules of glucose, having multiple glucose molecules in a chain. This provides energy for cells if glucose is unable to be processed or there is none the body can use.
