Shkiper50 [21]

It was not effective because the official papers of Adams did not reach the office properly before the administration and thus Jefferson refused his appointment on this ground.

Explanation:

William Marbury was one of the most successful business men in the United States of America. He was also one of the mid night judges which was appointed by the then President of the nation.

He was very important in the case of 1803 because this was the first case of the supreme court to be involved in the judicial review and he played a great role in that case. Which of the following best explains Lodge’s point of view on markets in the excerpt?
velikii [3]

Answer:

He opposed it and believe it will treaten US foreign policy of isolationism.

Explanation:

The Senate majority leader, Henry Cabot Lodge, a Republican from Massachusetts, opposed the treaty, specifically the section regarding the League of Nations.

He believed that the League threatened the U.S. foreign policy of isolationism; wanted the constitutional right of Congress to declare war included in the treaty.

Republicans including Cabot lodge opposed joining under Wilson's terms of no reservations, allowing the League to force the U.S. to enter a war without approval of Congress.

In the end the Senate voted down the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 and never joined the new League of Nations.
