Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: since average speed = total distance/time

a)average speed of the journey from my home town to A = 10 miles/20 minutes = 0.5

b)journey from my home town to B = 20 miles/30 minutes = 0.7

c)10 miles + 20 miles = 30 miles

which takes 50 minutes

so: 30 miles/50 minutes = 0.6

Apple weights are normally distriuted with a mean 0.33 pounds and and standard deviation of 0.06 pounds. Jermaine went to the st
maksim [4K]

Using the normal distribution, it is found that 10.56% of the apples weigh less than Jermaine's apple.

--------------------

In a <em>normal distribution</em> with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the z-score of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

  • It measures how many standard deviations the measure X is from the mean.
  • After finding the z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score, which is the percentile of X, that is, the proportion of measures that are less than X.

In this problem:

  • Mean of 0.33 pounds, thus \mu = 0.33.
  • Standard deviation of 0.06 pounds, thus \sigma = 0.06.
  • The proportion that is less than 0.25 pounds is the p-value of Z when X = 0.25, thus:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{0.25 - 0.33}{0.06}

Z = -1.25

Z = -1.25 has a p-value of 0.1056.

0.1056 x 100% = 10.56%.

10.56% of the apples weigh less than Jermaine's apple.

Graph the inequality 4x-3y is greater than or equal to-9
Komok [63]
Get y by itself:
4x-3y>equal to -9
-4x. -4x
-3y>equal to -4x-9
Divide by -3

y>equal to 4/3x+3

To graph, go to y=3 and plot (0,3). Then do slope. Up 4 and 3 right. Go down 4 and 3 left to get the other side of the inequality. This line will be solid. You shade upwards by the way.

30 POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bazaltina [42]
You start from 0. Since Barton saves $20 each week, you have to move 20. So, from 0 you will go to 20, then 40, then 60 and the pattern goes on. At the same time you go right in a diagonal line. I attached a picture but I'm not sure you will understand it well.
